CCS Law structures its fees in a way that aims to align the interests of the client with the recovery strategy while maintaining transparency regarding costs. As an international recovery coordinator and advisory practice, our role is typically to act as a strategic intermediary between the client and local legal professionals involved in the recovery process.
In many matters, particularly during the early stages of recovery, we aim to structure the engagement on a success-based model. This may involve a “no recovery, no success fee” approach for the pre-litigation phase, where recovery efforts focus on demand communications, negotiation and structured settlement discussions.
Where additional preparation or documentation review is required before commencing recovery efforts, a modest fixed or stage-based fee may apply to cover the initial coordination and preparation work.
This approach allows businesses to pursue viable recovery actions without committing to significant upfront legal costs.
If a matter progresses to Stage 3 and formal legal proceedings, qualified local counsel are typically engaged in the relevant jurisdiction. Litigation and court representation are conducted by lawyers authorised to practise in that country, and clients generally engage those lawyers directly.
Court fees, procedural costs and legal fees associated with litigation are therefore paid directly to the local counsel and the relevant courts in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
CCS Law continues to coordinate the recovery strategy and communication between the client and local counsel during this stage. Our remuneration is typically structured as a success-based fee calculated on the amounts successfully recovered through settlement, enforcement or court proceedings.
Because legal regulations differ between jurisdictions, the exact fee structure may vary depending on the country involved and the nature of the legal services required.
Following the initial strategic screening, clients receive a clear outline of the proposed recovery strategy and applicable fee structure before any further steps are taken.
